After the passing of her sibling, she has dedicated herself to preserving her family's legacy through sustainable development initiatives, community empowerment programs, and cultural preservation efforts. Her background and education has enabled her to lead the organization with vision and inspire positive change for communities in need.

Using an imaginative eye with a focus in production, Afia Chin manifests visions into their physical form by way of collaboration and empowerment. As Labour of Love’s Executive Director, her artistry, creativity and innovative thinking help create experiences such as her cultural art showcase, The Drummers' Beat to bring awareness to Labour of Love.
